The Rock Island-Milan School District will have its first female superintendent.
On Tuesday, Jan. 9, the district Board of Education approved a three-year administrative contract with Sharon Williams, to start July 1, 2024, at an annual salary of $220,000.
Dr. Williams brings more than 23 years of experience as an educator, school leader and district administrator to the role, according to a Friday district release.
